Many of us are not just victims of colourism, but perpetrators of this unconscious bias as well. Change doesn’t come through force, but rather through influence. What if each of us took a stand to stop colourism in their own lives, and in doing so became influencers?

Mahatma Gandhi said it best, “Be the change that you want to see in the world.”

What Is Peer Support?

Peer support is getting support from and supporting people who are equal to you – your peers. In a peer group you are able to talk to other people who truly have first hand experience of similar situations. We would like to encourage you to ‘be the change’ by starting a Dark Is Beautiful Peer Support group.

Being part of a group of people that have been through what you have makes a big difference. You realize that you are not alone, and you can all support each other and learn from each other.

In a Dark Is Beautiful Peer Support Group, everyone does things together and no one person is ‘in charge’. Everyone takes responsibility, talking things through and making decisions together.

To start a Dark Is Beautiful Peer Support Group, simple read and accept the terms, register and download our guide for free.
